>>153365 Hiii how are you??
>>153367 Berry good. I decided to dedicate this weekend to the celebration of Japanese culture. Dressed up in my traditional Japanese clothes (ronin outfit), ordered takeout from a Japanese restaurant and I'm now watching annie-may.
>>153369 Pls show if real & which animu???
>>153373 Sorry, it's hot as fuck and I'm really wet (because or the heat). Rewatching Joshirsku against. It's really fun and lighthearted.
>>153376 Looking good! Joshiraku reminded me of this one Japanese guy trying to organise manzai competitions in Fingolia and apparently he has had some people actually attend those which is pretty nice
>>153377 Thanks. It's a three-piece outfit: kimono, hakama, haori. I use a few variations of this outfit with more (or fewer) pieces. >manzai competitions in Fingolia and apparently he has had some people actually attend those which is pretty nice Sounds pretty kewl and fun.
>>153384 How much did it cost and is it hot to wear or does it allow hot air to flow away from your body??
Sup babe
>>153385 I ordered a few different articles (including geta, lol) from a period-drama clothing store a while back. All combined it was like maybe $500-800 USD. >does it allow hot air to flow away from your body?? It does. The hakama is pretty wide and has a big opening at the bottom of each leg. It pretty much looks like pic related.
>>153393 Fun fact: you have to lift one of the hakama legs and hold it to pee. That's how they did it back in the day too.
>>153376 Read (think actually youtub'd lol) something about fans recently - apparently they are pretty good for heat management without actual AC - like creating at least some draw even if of hot wind will help as it intensifies evaporation. Maybe something more radical could be done like make it blow through wet clothes or something lol. Also depending on how good they are, ceiling fans could be sorta better, like creating more wind because big. t. poorfag AC techniques (inb4 can't afford even a fan w)
>>153387 Hola >>153393 If it’s that expensive then it’s real stuff. Must be comfy now that you have 40 degrees and stuff over there >>153395 That’s a weird fact I didn’t expect >>153407 It moves the heated air away so colder air must be heated and then heat is transfered from your body to the new air and you cool down
>>153407 I have an AC + the curtains in my room are drawn all day. The issue is that the AC itself is in the living room and my room faces south, plus the PC and other electronic devices in my room generate quite a bit of heat. As a result, the living room cools down fairly well, but my room barely does. If I turned my PC and UPS off rn, it would help a lot, but it would still be kind of warm. >>153419> If it’s that expensive then it’s real stuff. Must be comfy now that you have 40 degrees and stuff over there Yea. Basically it's meant to be worn to traditional Japanese festivals or by actors who play in period movies/shows and such. Can be used for cosplay too, I guess. >That’s a weird fact I didn’t expect Me neither. It's a wtf moment when you wear it for the first time too, because a fly is not part of the design, and the way you tie it around yourself doesn't let you take it off and then put it back on quickly and effortlessly.
>>153427 Is cosplay not basically not improvised amateur acting without a script?? Is it hard to wear that around objects?? It has so much loose fabric that it may hit stuff and make them fall (I have caused that in some shops with my kilt sometimes if I need to let someone past me between shelves) and that can be nasty, just not as nasty at that p*e thing though. I’d be scared I accidentally hit the lifted part
>>153440>amateur acting without a script?? I think that would be larping. People do cosplay just to take kewl pics at annie-may conventions and such I think. Though I imagine some do try to act like the characters and play out favorite scenes and such as well. t. never been to a proper annie-may convention like ones they have in Nihon and Burgerland >Is it hard to wear that around objects?? It has so much loose fabric that it may hit stuff and make them fall Not really, surprisingly. I have all kinds of stuff on my desk, but I've never knocked it off because of loose clothes. >kilt It's a pleasure to meet a French Celt from Brittany. :^)
>>153393 this Nioh 3?
>>153455 Though I did have some stuff on my desk that would fall off randomly for various reasons (not because of clothes though). Picrel, I had teeny moomins living on my desk among some of my annie-may figures, and they would roll over and fall down from time to time, so I relocated them to my shelf. t. finnaboo >>153461 Ghost of Tsushima on PC. I have yet to beat it. Doing the DLC island rn.
>>153466 fug :D so many "japanese samurai" games it's hard to tell them apart :D
>>153468 I liked Nioh, its visceral combat and the leveling system but some of the bosses in that game filtered me pretty hard. I never beat the first game (though I plan to some day) and haven't checked the other two games out yet at all. It's funny, because I've never really truly struggled to beat "soulslike" games.
>>153455 Maybe one day you’ll get to go to an animecon. Who would you cosplay as?? Probably something samurai-esque as you have that outfit. I’d be Ingrid Galatea if I would do it but I’ll never end up in that situation>It's a pleasure to meet a French Celt from Brittany. :^) It’s sadly from the other side of the canal but from a nice gothic city with a lot of stairs >>153466 Nice collection! Do you have any mugs?? If not you have to give me your address and I’ll send you one~
>>153503>Who would you cosplay as?? Maybe Guts from Berserk or Laios from Dunjon Meshi. I'd love to cosplay some vidya characters like Snake from MGS and Jin from Ghost of Tsushima as well ofc. I'd be down to do some gender-bender cosplays of characters like Ash or Zofia from Rainbow Six Siege as well. >but I’ll never end up in that situation There's a first time for everything, as they say in Ameri, but I probably will never get to do it either tbh. It's been 10 years or more since I abandoned my dreams of living that high cosplay/geekcon life somewhere overseas. Kinda sad. >It's a pleasure to meet a French Celt from Brittany. :^)>It’s sadly from the other side of the canal but from a nice gothic city with a lot of stairs It's an old yli meme. Pic very much rel :D
>>153515 This started playing in the background while I typed that. Hyvää timing to immerse me into sad settis.
>>153503>Do you have any mugs?? If not you have to give me your address and I’ll send you one~ No mugs, but I have a Snufkin piggybank. It's enormous compared to those tiny figures though. >If not you have to give me your address and I’ll send you one~ Orrr someone will send 1000 pizzas to my place.
>>153515 You’d probably be a good snake and you’d get an excuse to have an eyepatch too! You need to save money and buy plane tickets when they are cheap and fly to for example Helsinki/Manse and visit tracon and then you get to see a lot of fingol friends I remember Wilson. I’ve seen several hellooks people. The coolest one is ofc the techno interests me guy but sadly not Wilson nor the mafia man whose name I can’t remember atm >>153519 Is he your favourite character?? Mine is maybe Groke who just wants friends but scares others away. Tragic but relatable I wouldn’t order pizza to your door but I’d organise a visit from JW etc. And ofc a moomin mug!
>>153537>You’d probably be a good snake and you’d get an excuse to have an eyepatch too! Which I could also reuse for my random unnamed pirate goon cosplay. >You need to save money and buy plane tickets Money isn't really an issue. The bureaucracy nightmare that is acquiring a Schengen visa to visit the EU when you hail from a shithole is. I've been invited to Europe a lot over the years, and I'd love to come visit, but I can't be bothered to go through the whole ordeal to be tbh. Oh well, maybe I'll force myself to do it some day before I keel over randomly. >techno interests Lol, I remember that one. Not really sure who the mafia guy is though. >Is he your favourite character?? Since I was a kid. I grew up on Tove's books and always dreamed to be an adventurer like Snufkin. Roaming around the countryside, forests and mountains, camping, living the free life of a drifter/woodsman. >Mine is maybe Groke who just wants friends but scares others away. Tragic but relatable It is pretty sad. I remember seeing art of her in the books as a kid and being pretty spooked of her initially, but she turned out to be a much more nuanced character than a cliche boogeyman. Tove was really good at what she did. >I wouldn’t order pizza to your door but I’d organise a visit from JW etc. And ofc a moomin mug! Well, it at least sounds fun and a little more creative than 1k pidzers.
>>153561 I hope you find energy to go through the bureau-crazy one day and then you get to visit some anime thingy and get a new experience and so on! A Sn*fkin fan should travel and have adventures. In some countries you even get to camp almost anywhere! Mafia man https://hel-looks.com/20110903_10/
