i think mabby i should order proper speakers too before playing gothic how much for good speakers? ahh such a shit, thats really an item you should test at the store, but that hasnt been possible for 30 years
oh god this loneliness and everyone else is living as if they think they'll live forever
i think mabby you r faggot
jbl lsr305p mk2 are ebin and not expensive
sure why not
>>143638 they're like, expensive, maan
"proper speakers" are a mene unless: A) you have a golden ear and are listening to high-res lossless audio B) are setting up a recording studio C) are setting up a home theater system
>>143658 I used to like music doe maybe I could like it again if I had better speakersts and if they find out how to restore my hearing on ear1
>>143654 maybe edifier then, idk which model exactly
>>143667 how good is the JBL 305P MKII as a pc speaker? I found out they have a "basic buzz" all the time. umm. do you use them to play games? I imagine for music they must be pretty good, say the reviews problem is, I dont really want to buy something expensive but those little 50€ plastic things look, well, cheap. like an insult. stupid attitude cause I'd probably be quite happy with them. but can spend a lil bit more and get proper too. idk man.
>>143667 I mean, I found the JBL 305P MKII cheap. this puts me into a precarious situation that I feel obliged to buy them. just came across nice-looking edifiers too ye
>>143638 so ive looked further into this there are currently multiple cheap sources for this speaker so probably not in a hurry but im still considering this: logitech middle class plug & play speakers without background hiss vs those jbl things with weird cables with background hiss, also 30cm size whats it like to have 30cm speakers on the desk also they say sound gets worse if youre further away than 2 meters? im at a complete loss here
the thing is if you get decent speakers and listen to music you will also need möllö to enjoy the music even more
my setup is an onkyo amplifier (100-200eur dont remember) with 2x floorstanding speakers (200eur) which is connected to my pc and a record player
>>143701 >>143696 so I'll sleep about this in a moment here's what I concluded: the jbl's are a serious commitment to listening at 1-1.5m distance at a desk. if I 'got back into' music, its unlikely that I'd want to listen from the same position all the time. (psychologically, the fact that I connect intense dog smell with my desk does really not help with the decision) that, and the background hiss, could still make the case for cheaper speakers, and proper hifi device later. so difficult it all is
>>143704 could also just get some really nice headphones instead
>>143695 i’m not even gonna look up that specific model but i can tell you with confidence that every jbl product is overpriced shit for niggers. i’ve owned multiple headphones and speakers from them as well as witnessed the quality and using experience as a whole from some of the more expensive models that my friends have had. it’s fine i guess if you’re homeless and got them for free but otherwise personally i wouldn’t give them to a dog.
>>143695 ye, they are chep near field monitors and sound ebin for the price
>>143662 whats wrong with earst is it a birth condition >>143733 amen
just get some skull candy bro
>>143707 >>143741 hello I need help still I've been stuck in an ocd loop for many hours now Ive been looking at popular regular plastic pc speakers (logitech, creative, etc) - in particular the 3 star reviews mentioned what I already suspected: that sound quality of budget speakers is worse than in the 2000s. I suspect that, as quality of everything degrades. I know I dont give a poop about strong bass, so those with built-in subwoofers arent for me. this is where things get rough those jbl speakers have universally great reviews but what happens if you're 5m away from them or not in the perfect direction? would I fare better with edifier bookshelf speakers? do they not have the same behaviour? I know placement matters tho this all seems moot without testing what Im wondering is, I suppose: those jbl ones are obviously very good for one specific use case. but what if I want to fill whole room with sound are they still the best? or some edifiers of a similar price range?
>visit a secondhand store>grab any random boxes from the 70s for 3.50 eur>still sound better than any new plastic crap manufactured today
You should buy an entire crew of slaves that will foley the sounds for you in real time
ok word of mouth has it that edifier is not that great (but again, without test-listening, this is all kind of moot) but the basic question remains: can those studio monitors replace everyday use speakers as well? i guess they can replace pc speakers. while being 30cm tall blocks on the desk.
>>143836 i cant because i didnt make it
>>143831 that's why I grabbed my grandpa's old JVC cabinets and amp when they were cleaning out the house
>>143828 I think they will be ok if it is not very large room, you can add subwoofer but it is not the cheapest one. also you will need source with balanced outputs and with volume control ofc as they have only volume control on the back and it is separate for each speaker. I use fiio k9 pro but you can use cheap audio interface like focusrite scarlet 2i2 or something
i guess the question is, do i care much about better sound quality *at my desk* for 60€ more and i keep thinking the answer is kind of no but im afraid of how shitty normal pc speakers are nowadays too
>>143850>only volume control on the back and it is separate for each speaker. this also kind of sucks for pc speakers
>>143851 you can also buy second hand receiver yamaha or something and some speakers for couple 100 euros
>>143852 ye, need external sound card
>>143853 ye but i think thats for later >>143852 nvm about that as roughly every keyboard has volume control now anyway this has fucked me up ill order jbl and regular pc speakers and send one of them back later
>>143853 >>143846 i bet every german has 10 of those old stereo amps just lying around. they also smell good after powering up for the first time in years when all the dust inside burns
>>143856 ebin, but if you use unbalanced to balanced adapters they can be noisy they are designed for balanced inputs.
>>143861 not so ebin, i continue being fucked up i think theres only cheaper, and theres better but nothing thats reported to be better at the same price i might just be happy with regular pc speakers el cheapo no idea this has worn me out, im a cripple now
>>143868 sopsy's fault
>>143861 wtf man this has opened a can of worms i was never even particularly interested in apparently all pc speakers are garbage oh yea also ebin keeps thnking this ip is american fuck now i have to order that shitty adapter cable for the jbl too just for testing and i bet i wont be able to return that one maybe i give up and buy shitty pc speakers instead, save 60 bux or so
now ive cancelled my JBL 305P MKII and they dont immediately relist them so i cant immediately reorder them after changing my mind twice
>>143873 U ameri now need to buy ameri hifi too
>>143874 you should beat them up
just found out that that was the price for ONE 305p speaker, not two so everything changed and my decisions just got a lot easier ill order something whatever and probably be happy with it
the edifier R1280T won pretty sure ill be happy with them, their price and their looks
>>143876 thx for help
>>143896 np. sharted and farted
