buuuut energy efficiency is also good

ok power usage is a joke
9W is class B
14W is class E
the difference in moneys is like 3€ per year at 8 hours a day
so for me its like 3c a year

34 inch 1440p is sweetspot
>>
get an IPS panel, 1080p, 24-27 inches, 60-144hz, make sure it has good colors
>>
>>140976
That's weird since human eye can't see more than 30 FPS

done
good colours wont know that until it arrives
but lacking comparison, I guess it will do
probably blows away anything ive ever owned anyway

i guess it's alright, there's a similar one from benq in the same price range, i've had a good time with benq monitors
but it's probably all the same
>180hz
that's pretty fast, so you're gonna go pro now? play cs 1.6 clanwars on ESL ladder?

he probably doesn't have the gpu to support qhd anyways, why give up on performance for a few more pixels? also i have a 1080p 24" monitor next to a 4k 32" inch monitor and i prefer the smaller one, higher resolutions are kind of a meme if the monitor isn't at least 30"
>>
>>141088
idk, mabby bigger is better for coding
ive no idea what im doing here
>>
File image.png - ( 447x447, 274.87 KB PNG )

just buy 3-4 different monitors to try out, can always send them back

or just stick to the one you've already ordered because it's fine
>>
>>141090
Yes, you're gonna need a big one to code that GUI
>>
>>141092
mabby just order both and see
there is a comparable 1440p one for only little money more
also drains more power tho, gets hotter, idk
ehh
>>
File cattyping4.jpg - ( 1856x2464, 712.18 KB JPG )

actually that "little more money" is like nearly twice the price
>>
>>141093
havent done shit in months, feels bad man
and even before that, my trajectory was bad

but i got a project lined up thats unique and might blast in some money
except i still hate the idea
working on something alone n sheit
can only go wrong

>>141094
1440p on what size though? on 24" this will be pretty tiny, should be 27" at least
anyways busy cat like you should aim for a 2 monitor setup sooner or later anyways, mabby 3 monitor setup even
>>
File cattyping4.jpg - ( 1856x2464, 712.18 KB JPG )

>>141101
i guess bigger screen means i could sit further away
i should really do that
mabby i cancel my order
>>

purchase cancelled. need more time to think

so what about the aoc Q24G4RE
and mabby i order the 24G42E again too
to compare both
send one back

i just measured, 27" is pretty big, i come from 14"
even 24" seems quite massive
idk rn
>>
curved or nah?
>>
>>141173
personal opinion: curved is bullshit marketing tactic to pump up price
disclaimer: I also hold the opinion that HD is excessive. if a 1px line is not discernible as discrete, then the pixels are too small
>>
>>141204
thx
what is considered HD?

this choice has ruined my day. truth is, I only got an n100 mini pc.
it will run gothic and a few old games. I dont think I need more than 100hz and 24" seems massive to me already. im utterly confused here. ill barely play games, ill barely use the monitor. i better go with el cheapo.

on the other one, a monitor is enough for 20 years or so, so spending 20€ more shouldnt matter. but 80€ more? idk
>>
File image.png - ( 2000x2000, 2.12 MB PNG )
image.png
is a 27" monitor is required for anything?
is it better for coding than a 24" monitor?
after all lines shouldnt be endlessly long anyway.
mabby to make it bigger?
i saw a 27" screen that can be rotated, maybe thats an advantage but it also seems .. unneeded

a review has this pic in it

Get an ultra wide mini LED. It's only slightly worse than OLED, but it won't get a burn in, and it will last forever. Great colors.
>>
>>141244
what to do with ultra wide tho?
>>
theres the
AOC 24G42E - 80€ fair price I guess, overall good monitor but 24"
MSI PRO MP275QPG - 27" 1440p rotatable, 130€ (hurts a lilla bit but not much)
AOC Q24G4RE Gaming-Monitor - 24" again, 138€, only advantage is higher hertz
Acer VG270UP6 Gaming-LED-Monitor - 145€, 144 hertz, 1440p

130€ vs 144€ really makes no difference especially long term
only choice financially is el cheapo or not and go full blast
but with an n100 mini pc, I cant really make use of 1440p except for "work" and thats fine
I dont really need anything fancy as I'll only play like 1 or 2 old games ever

fuck this is exhausting
