this is one of my micro aquarium jars (a video about it would easily get 2M views on youtube - ive seen it) (maybe i should have turned blogging into a source of income) (is it too late?) the idea is you pretty much put whatever into a jar and see how it turns out well this jar has some tiny dot animals in it, almost invisible and mabby snail and some moss and this self-regenerating algae which seemed useless at first glance however tho its an infinite food source for my daphnia (in other container) if i wait a while it becomes more dense at the same time, no algae is growing on the glass
this jar doesnt have any obvious algae at all jar is interesting because in jar, different life form can take over and take up all the scarce nutrients (this one's water has evaporated a bit. needs refilling.)
i also had one little thing with a water spider in it from the pond idk if its still alive but it was cool pic not related, its another jar, in this one i tried to use gravel ground the little light dots in it are mostly daphnia
btw to say a lilla more about the first jar it has a ground made of this brown stuff we call "Mulm" in saksa and in english they didnt have a word for it so they also went with mulm, in the context of aquariums (source: https://dict.leo.org/forum/viewWrongentry.php?idThread=1280081&idForum=6&lang=en&lp=ende) well its pretty much things like poop that decayed or got eaten several times by even smaller organisms (such as water isopods) i like how it builds up a little bit over time feels like achievement
i think jar is good underrated hobby that will surely become more popular in the future
>(maybe i should have turned blogging into a source of income)>(is it too late?) You kinda tried that, remember your short-lived Patreon? "Hubert Newtman" or whatever it was
>>130012 yes that was pretty shit youtube vids would be better but require actual production and narration.. well and could turn out quite boring or have other problems there are really popular youtube vids about some guy making a wild pond but i dont have a piece of forest
(it says nothing ofc about if they make any money if that dude made $2000 with his youtube video, hes still at a loss, pretty much)
>would easily get 2M views on youtube - ive seen it yeah I saw that channel too when someone posted video on yli years ago. seemed neat, but there's no way my parents would go for it.
>>130074 you think fatherst would throw it away?

>>130075 yes, and probably raise my rent too. I have a history of filling containers with water and then trying to watch things rust or dissolve in them and not telling anyone.
